Just a quick post for those you buying real estate in Inverness County.
The deed transfer tax rate for that county just increased from the rate of .05 to 1.5 percent. What a leap. What was that all about?

The deed transfer tax is a good reminder not to underestimate closing costs when buying a property. Some Realtors may not inform buyers of all costs involved and then they are left with a big unpleasant surprise at closing.
