Hi Alexsandra ~ Love the title, love the photo. Is this one of a number of horses around your city? We had the art cows in Boston.
Liz
Jim & Maria -- I found the horse in front of an arts and crafts store in Buenos Aires
Samantha - I was so taken with the pony that I took several shots - kept only two that I liked.
Liz - as far as I know it was the only one, Palermo Viejo neighborhood - but there may be more. I saw the cows in NY years ago
Alexsandra - Great title (love the song) and great art. Thanks for sharing.
Oh Alexsandra! This is wonderful! I started giving my niece Painted Ponies for gifts. She's quite the horsegirl, and loves them! The first one I gave her was the Children's Prayer Pony. I know there are more ponies, each full size pony is reproduced in smaller sizes for sale, and the full sized ponies are auctioned off. I first saw the full size cows in Florence, Italy, and couldn't figure out what the heck was going on! There were several in the Piazza.

What a beautiful painted pony. I have not seen one in person but this photo has now peaked my interest to do so. :)
Hi Alexsandra, I love the different painted ponies. Each artist would create his or her vision of the pony. Very nice.
Alex, okay now that song is rolling round in my head. Glad I like it. The photo is beautiful... like so many others you have posts. You have quite the eye for good art.
Kathie - I like the song too --and it seemed to fit. ;-)
Debi -- I think it is amazing - this is the first time I have heard there are painted ponies. I thought it was an unusual piece - the one I saw in Buenos Aires. Not only are there painte ponies, they make minatures. wow. I think the cows started in Chicago.
Marian -- I have to find some more of these horses -- especially when you say various artists have created them.
Pat - doesn't it though? I'd love to have a carousel filled with these kind of horses!
Tammy -- I am glad you like it too. Nothing worse than a song you hate roling around in your head! Thank you for the compliment also!
Alexsandra,
Man, who had the patience to paint that horse? It looks really cool though.
Johnathan -- it must have taken tons of patience! Lots of detail that they covered.
Morgan -- Very creative. I have learned there a lots of painted ponies - this was the first one I had seen.
I was giving Dede Max a hard time for speechless Sunday. I might have to try it some time. i like your inspiration blog.
Steve
Certainly some vibrant colors. When I did something like that as a kid, my mom and siblings would make fun of me because "a pony's not that color." Sure wish I had saved those. I could have an avant garde art display. I could be famous by now!
Steve - with some of the photos youtake -- I think you'd be a natural!
Russel- one of the sad things about childhood -- being told to color in the lines or the equivalent. I think people should be allowed to paint it the way they want it!
I have seen one of these outside a little gift store at the beach....so creative.
Konnie - it was the first I'd seen -- am hoping to see more --and will keep my eyes open if I get to the VA beaches - or the eastern shore --which I hope to do next summer.
