The Kula Community Association hosted the Upcountry Sustainability Expo 2009
on Feb 21st at the Kamehameha Elementary School Namahana Cafeteria, in
conjunction with the Sustainable Living Institute of Maui.  It was to help
people become more aware of the many sustainability opportunities now
available.  Attendees were able to sample foods, attend presentations, and
enter drawings for prizes.  There was a farmers market and live
entertainment by Louise and Ortiz.

Hi Leolinda - the market didn't get really ugly here.  When prices get low enough, there are buyers waiting.  We have a fair amount of short sales and foreclosures, but not like in some mainland markets.
