If you like to fish or boat or both then the North Fork Reservoir located just east of Estacada is the place for you.  The Promontory Park boat launch, dock and convenience store make it easy to plan an impromptu day at the lake.  The park will open on May 25th this year.  Another boat launch is located off of Faraday Rd.

Formed by a PGE Hydropower Dam, the North Fork Reservoir is perfect for wakeboarding.  It is deep (up to about 97 feet) and virtually snag free.  After 5 pm on most days, you can pretty much have the whole place to yourself.

There are a few coves to hang out in and plenty of room for sport and sport-fishing alike.
