Thats an interesting website,  I wonder if it gets any attention from the LENDERS?  AT least it makes the neighbors feel better to have somewhere to report the abuse of an empty house nextdoor.

Several of the cities out here have passed legislation requiring the owners to take care of their properties, with significant fines if they don't, and it doesn't matter where the owner lives or who the owner is. A couple of months ago, an article in the paper told the story of one bank that got a $13,000 bill from one of the cities here. The bank called the city to ask what they did to the property that cost $13,000. The city's response? "It's not what we did, it's what you didn't do."

I have heard that lenders do look at that, apparently Freddie mac is one of the worst offenders.
