A few weeks ago there was a buzz in our neighborhood of people having homes/autos broken into by some people who were helping themselves to GPS units, CDs, etc...  Anything that had some value, but was not under lock and key.  These petty-thieves were just helping themselves where home and auto owners had left their things 'available' to them.  This seminar by Cpl. Jordan seems right on time.  Here is her e-mail to our Homeowners Association.

Hello Everyone!
Richland County Sheriff's Department is hosting a crime prevention class at the Ballentine Recreational Center, 1009 Bickley Road in Irmo, to highlight prevention tips for auto break ins and "spring time" crimes. Charlie ~ My husband, Mike, was in Memphis last week and had his truck broken into while parked at the hotel.  They did not take his GPS, he's not sure if they took anything except his stash of napkins.

That's really strange!  Unless he's using dollar bills for napkins.  Of course knowing his wife... he probably is.  I guess we all know that people that break into things aren't the brightest lights in the hall.  God bless 'em.
