Search Twitter for Opportunities, Real Estate Market Buzz, and Referral Partners

Twitter is becoming the Google of the real-time web.

In fact, I am often monitoring several real-time search terms at any given time. You should learn to do the same. Not only will it give you real-time insight into what is happening in your local real estate market, but it will put you on alerts for customers needing help and potential referral partners.

Here is a quick example:

Watching what is happening in my city: Ann Arbor, MI happenings
Watching what is happening in my real estate market and potential referral partners: Ann Arbor, MI Real Estate

Can you think of other ways to use Twitter Search in your real estate marketing and sales strategy? I would love to hear more ideas.

Twitter is great. I love it now. It was hard to get into at first-Dinah Lee

I guess I haven't really figured out the search function on Twitter. I'm where Dinah used to be, trying to get in the swing of it but having a tough time!

Okay, I give! I'm going to give Twitter a try! Active Rain, Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, now Twitter! Where does it end?

Twitter can be challenging and the furious pace can be overwhelming. That is why I like using http://search.twitter.com to filter only the keywords I am interested in tuning into. Give it a try--use it just like Google and see what pops up.

The really neat part is that you can reply back to any interesting comments or resources you find--something you can't easily do with Google.

I didn't know I could monitor only specific keywords...that would make this much more interesting. I just think it's stupid so far....:(

I've been thinking I need to get on twitter, etc., but just haven't. Looks like it is time to get on board. I need to follow my own advice. I just posted a blog titled " Yoda says Try not, do or do not, there is no try." and I need to follow my own rant. OK, I'll get on it NOW. OK, I'm back. I'm on Twitter now. I think my name is @ronbridges.
