Petra...

The no fishing and no boating is exactly what sets it apart. Lakeland is such a great little town. When we were downsizing last year I had Lakeland on my list. BB scratched it off because it's too far a drive from Poinciana. Too bad to. Lakeland actually has culture where as Winter Haven has...Well...To be polite...Not much of anything :)

TLW...ROAR!

TLW - Yeah, Poinciana would be too far to drive for me as well. Winter Haven for me is like driving in a foreign country - every time I drive there to get somewhere, it always takes me back a different route. Now, Winter Haven does have some culture, the Winter Haven Theater, there are concerts at Winter Haven PCC auditorium. Winter Haven is a very small town and folks that come and live there do love to fish and boat in lakes surrounding the chain of lakes.
