Bogus Annual Minutes Statement For Corporations Compliance Scam

This operation is pretty slick. An official letter comes in the mail, it has your corporation number and the date you incorporated. Bold lettering at the top "Annual Minutes Requirement Statement Directors and Shareholders (For Profit Corporations)". It then quotes Georgia code 14-2-1601 and code 14-2-701. The list requires you to name corporate officers, directors, shareholder information.

Second page tells you to fill out CS FORM MIN_GA081 & mail it along with $125.00 to the Complince Services address. How did I know this was bogus from the start? We have 2 companies, only one received this. So, on closer inspection, the only thing that gives this away is a line after the Georgia codes are quoted, after all, who reads those? It states This product has not been approved or endorsed by any government agency and this offer is not made by an agency of the goverment.

I googled this, seems more than a few folks are confused or scammed, the state has not been able to shut them down. Watch your backs out there!
