And the Oscar Goes To...

I don't know if you're one who watches the Academy Awards. But the annual show went off last night in all it's glitz and glamour. Some of the big winners include: Slumdog Millionaire (Best Picture plus seven more Oscars); Sean Penn (Best Actor in "Milk"); Kate Winslet (Best Actress in "The Reader"); Heath Ledger (Best Supporting Actor in "The Dark Knight"); Andrew Stanton (Best Animated Feature, WALL-E). (To view more of the winners, click HERE.) And I couldn't help but wonder if there were an Academy Awards show for realtors, who would win top honors? And, quite frankly, I'd dare suggest that every home seller and buyer wants his or her realtor to be of "Oscar" quality. Would your clients say that after having worked with you? Would they say, "And the Oscar goes to..." with your name at the end? Would they rise to give you a standing ovation? It's really easy to win the "Oscar" with your people. Then again, it's not so easy. It's only through dedication, professionalism, selflessness, commitment, hard work, perseverance and sacrifice that an Academy Award-winning performance can come.
