Stranger Entering Shreveport Homes for Sale

Stranger Alert!

I don't want to scare anyone, but want to make everyone aware that there is a man who has been entering homes in Shreveport that have For Sale signs in the front yard. He was spotted at several homes Sunday afternoon in the South Highlands neighborhood. Shreveport Homes for Sale

He actually parked in the garage and entered one home. The teenage daughter was there, but fortunately so was the dog and the man left. He was next seen in the back yard of another home that is for sale.

Police have been notified of both instances. Please, if your house is on the market, be sure to lock your doors and keep your garage door down when you're at home. This is a good practice for everyone, but this guy seems to be targeting houses with a For Sale sign in the yard.

I would appreciate it if you would pass this along to anyone you know whose house is for sale. Thanks!

I'm really glad that family had a dog, I don't want to think of what would have happened if they hadn't.

Wow, lucky for that family they had a dog. I would not be surprised that with more and more people loosing their homes that more and more will try this. Sad statement on the way things are.

Amen, amen, and amen. She was very fortunate that she wasn't alone. Perhaps it was a couple of isolated incidents, It's a good reminder that you're not necessarily safe even in your own home and to take that extra bit of precaution.

Hi Heather, I hope your localism readers are reading this!!! We had something similar in my neighborhood awhile back. Turns out the police actually knew the persons MO and were looking for her. Stay safe!

Thanks, Gail. I saw on the news last night that police talked to two guys in a neighborhood close to that one when someone on the neighborhood watch thought they looked suspicious. They said they were going door to door looking for work. They weren't arrested.
