Members now have the ability to keep their own blog associated with their member profile on the ActiveRain Real Estate Network. This gives us yet another way to promote our businesses and share information.

Blogs, or web-logs have quickly become one of the most popular and successful means to ways to get information about you, your interests, and your business out to the public. Many use blogs as their personal commentary column; others use it as a sort of public on-line diary. Either way blogs are very effective at getting information out into the world to get picked up by potential consumers and business partners.

ActiveRain blogs are an ideal place to write information about you as a part of the real estate industry. Your business and your local real estate market. Or just make it completely personal and let people get to know you.

Topics I would suggest would be those that pay particular attention to your own local real estate market, market conditions, or articles that help someone in your market to understand you, your company, or your business.

Content is the name of the game here. With the content you write, the more specific and unique it is to you the less competition you will have among the sea of information available on the Internet. Of course relevancy matters too. Be sure the content you write is informative and interesting even if it's short, the quality matters quite a bit. It keeps readers coming back.

With each blog article or “posting” you should add a unique title that somehow gives readers some idea of what they're about to read. These titles are like headlines and they are what are likely to attract a reader to check out your content. In addition active rain blogs have tags. Tags are keywords that you tag the “post” with. The tags describe the topics that the particular post discusses this makes it possible for your blog to be found by more people.

ActiveRain Real Estate Network Blogs are another way for you to get noticed on-line, by both other professionals, and consumers. They are very effective tools for marketing and business development. Let the world know more about you, put up a post today.

Check back tomorrow for more pointers on how to use your blog and the first of a series of weekly "Blog Topics".
