Living in Brookline, New Hampshire

Are you considering building a new home, new construction or buying a resale home in southern New Hampshire? Are you concerned about having your children in a good school district, quality of living and travel distance to shopping, work and play? Then you should visit the wonderful small town of Brookline, NH.

Brookline is a small rural community which borders Massachusetts in south-central New Hampshire.  Home to about 4700 residents, Brookline is attempting to retain its rustic, small-town feel by limiting the number of building permits issued annually.  With well over half of its 13,000 acres still undeveloped, the plan seems to be working.  Beautiful homes nestled in the thick pines that line its wandering back roads make Brookline a very desirable place to call home.

Brookline offer one of the best school systems in all of New Hampshire, the Hollis-Brookline School System. Elementary age children attend the Richard Maghakian Memorial School and Captain Samuel Douglas Academy. Junior high and high school students attend the Hollis/Brookline Middle School and Hollis/Brookline High School.

Newsweek Magazine has ranked Hollis/Brookline High School the top-rated school in the Granite State.

Brookine is a great commuter’s location, just minutes to downtown Milford and Amherst and a short twenty five minute drive to both Manchester and Nashua. A trip to the New Hampshire seacoast, NH Lakes Region or Boston, Ma is just one hour away.

Jim It sounds like Brookline is a great place to live. I did not realize that NH had a Brookline....sounds a lot more quaint than the one in MASS.
