Those dark windows in vehicles seem spooky and suspicious. Are they good real estate vehicles?

By

I'd just driven up to my office today when this vehicle drove up right beside me.  I was on that side of the car and looked to see who was in the driver's seat.

I COULD NOT SEE WHO WAS IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT.

I'm right beside the car but can't see in it.

Is there something wrong here?  Right now in Arkansas they are trying to make it against the law for people to talk on a cell phone or text while driving and to be able to pull someone over for not having their seat belts fastened. (Right now they can not pull you over for that reason alone.)

But with windows so dark in these vehicles you can't see what is happening in the vehicle.  The car could have had a child forgotten in the back seat.  No one would be able to see the child.  The only way to see in that car was to put both hands up to the window, press your nose to the glass and peer in.  You could see a little in that manner.

I guess I'm ranting because it bothers me that our law enforcement officers have to approach vehicles without being able to see in them.  The law also tries to protect us in so many ways but are ignoring these dark windows.

And guess who stepped out of the vehicle?  One of our new real estate agents.  Do you think that makes a good real estate vehicle?  What would you advise her to do?

Barbara, I feel like someone could be sitting in the car with the dark windows, pointing a gun at me.  I wouldn't know it and it makes me feel uneasy.

Ludean!  You're back.  I wondered where you were.  I feel exactly the same as you and can't believe that people hide behind those windows unless they have a reason to be hiding.

Hi Barbara!
I know that they enforce the law in California, because my son got pulled over.  But as long as we are talking about pet peeves in car features, can I complain about the cars who want to share their particular brand of music with anyone within a mile of their car?  Honestly, I have been bombarded by a base that shook my windows! I think I will buy stock in a hearing aid company, because in a few years, they are going to be VERY busy!

James, I actually did tell her but I don't think she took the message to heart.  Perhaps she has more than that vehicle and only drives it when she wants to be mysterious.

Paula, I wish they'd stop more people.  And yes, the music is awful!  I hate those boom-box cars and if they have dark windows too, spare me!!

Barbara, I have been here all along, just didn't have anything to say about the subjects at hand.  Can you believe that!!!

Barbara,

I don't like the dark windows either, the only thing worse is those loud thumpers with music cranked up!

Ludean, you must speak up so I'll know you're still listening.  LOL

Mary, I can take the thumpers easier than the darkness. I like to see who's beside me.

I'm still not sure that dark windows are bad for business, but I don't like the dark tint on the front windows myself.  I have what would be considered 'limo tint' on the back doos and rear window.  But the front side windows are probably half that dark.  I had a sports car that was tinted right up to the legal limit, and while it was nice during the day, at night I had to roll the glass down at intersections.  You truly cannot see pedestrians in the dark with that much tint on your glass.

Brian, thanks for your comment.  Sounds as if a pedestrian had better run in another direction if he sees a darkened window vehicle.

Barbara, I am going to have to agree with Brian on this one, as I also live and work in Arizona, where it can run 110 degrees for many days in a row, and not get below 90 degrees in the evening.  Everyone here has dark tinted windows to help protect themselves and the interior of their cars from the heat.  I have had things melt and stick to the interior of my car, practically burned myself on the steering wheel, and had the rear view mirror melt and fall right off.  Of course, nobody sees window tinting as an issue here, so I guess it all depends on where you live and work.  With that said, AZ still has laws regulating how dark the window tinting can be.

Most states do have a limit on the amount of tint and what windows can be tinted. Years ago in the Midwest, I recall the cops were backing a bill that would outlaw tinted windows because you didn't know if you were stopping a drug dealer with a gun. That makes sense. Of course, triple digit days are another story. Couldn't the car companies use a glass that rflective back solar rays like some house windows do?

Mrs Barbara,

The boss said that you do not like two of my outfits. I do not know what the ceasar salad outfit is? But, when you say you do not like my lemon attire....do you mean this outfit. I think it fits me nicely.

Nutsy!!!!!   Sometimes I become frustrated with you.  I HATE that girly squirrellllllll  outfit!!!!!  Do not put it on my blog again..........You look like you're trying to do the Charleston (maybe your boss can do a history on that dance) but doing it no better than I'd do, which is bad!

Troy, that is hot!!!  Perhaps you'd better relocate to our area.  Sometimes we get hot weather too but 105 degrees is about the extent of it.  Window tinting is probably a necessity in your area but in most places it isn't and that is my rant.  I just don't like being unable to see in a car if it is right beside me.

Reliable Robert, I like your idea.  If one of my relatives was a state trooper and had to stop cars like these, I'd be shouting for enforcement of the tinting laws.

Mrs Barbara,

I am so sorry to offend. Mr Charles also said it made me look less manly, I had not noticed and liked my lemon outfit. I love my fruit themed outfits and wonder if you like my orange costume better. Citrus fruit makes me happy.

NUTSY!!!!! You have gone from bad to WORST!  That is a dumb outfit.  You have fat legs and your body is even fatter.  Stick with the classy outfits!!  I really liked the Elvis one!   Or did you do an Elvis one??????  That could be another weirdo on AR.   But you're not weird.  You're just fashion culturally devoid.  But I do love you......
