New Orleans takes the day off, Mardi Gras 2009

Today was Mardi Gras in New Orleans. The weather was great and the crowds were great. Went to the same spot to view the REX parade that we have been going to for at least 30 years. Its a family atmosphere and a great place to watch and catch. Actually the Parades have been rolling for about two weeks.  A great kick off to the Spring of 2009.  Here are a couple of post cards from New Orleans.

Got about 250 photos of this and that. Its another view of New Orleans away from Bourbon Street.

This is really cool; everyone in the office loved the music.  It woke us up.  I did you do that?  We are still pretty cold up here.  Hopefully spring will be coming soon.  Thanks, Kim

Eric, thanks for the pics.  I kick myself for not taking a couple opportunities to visit during Mardi Gras.  Now I fear the crowd has got young on me.

Eric, my family and I were down on St. Charles Ave. We arrived at 7AM. It was the first time in about 15 years in going downtown.

Eric, one of these days I would love to be in New Orleans for Mardi Gras.  I think it would be a great experience, and I have never been there.
