I happen to be having a big birthday today. So last Sat. night my daughter, Shea, my friends, and my niece Mitzi decided to really throw me a birthday bash and boy did they ever. First Shea did not want it to be a black birthday with everthing decorated in black. She said Mom is not a black or sad person my Mom is always the "life of the party" thanks Shea. So the theme was set. You guessed it I am a child of the 70's so a 70's party it was. The disco ball, hot pants and go-go boots, smiley faces, lava lamps and beads, and peace signs ever where. Does this bring back any memories for anyone other than me. As you can see I have some great graffiti drawing friends. A water tower has had a few of my friends signature on it at one time. Anyway it was a big flash back for sure with 70's music and decor. So I was totally surprised. I was told I was attending a Grandparents appreciation dinner with my grandaughter. Even my 6 year old grandaughter, Jayden was in on this one. By the way she makes a cute hippy. I had a blast!! There was a projection playing with all my high school pictures on it along with recent pictures of me with the kids and grandkids. There was plenty of food, drinks, and fun for all. I would like to thank them all for making me feel so special and loved. You guys out did yourselfs on this one.
Barbara,
Thank you so much Barbara. I feel like I have been partying all weekend and all day today, but it has been fun.

Cute, Cute pictures! It looks like you were having such great fun! A 70s party is always a fun thing. However, recently, I was invited to a "retro 80s" party. Since I actually was one of those girls in the 1950s, who had a REAL poodle skirt, you can imagine how old that invitation actually made me feel:-)
