kidsI have 3 kids; 15, 10, & 8. A couple of months ago I bought these really great Pocket Notebooks. They have my name, company, website, phone numbers and website listed on them. They also have this really great slogan that says, "List With Me And Start Packing!" (Get it, notebook, make lists, list with me..lol) and they close with a pen holding them shut. Anyway, my youngest daughter thought they were the neatest thing she has ever seen and begged me to let her take some to school to give to her teachers. Of course, I couldn't deny her. (My mother also took a handful with her to my Cousin's wedding this past weekend and handed them all out).

Back in November I was sitting in the office just about to end my Floor Duty Shift. My middle child was in the office with me that day, I think they were out on Thanksgiving Break. In walks this couple and my daughter lights up and screams, "Ashleigh, hey!!!" I looked at my daughter and said, "Do you know her?" Of course, they were in the same class. I took my daughter with me for every appointment with this couple and they brought their daughter which made things so much nicer for everyone involved. We closed on their first home in January.

My son, the oldest, is always telling his friends that his mom is a Real Estate Agent for Century 21. (I swear thats how he says it, he's proud of the Century 21 name). A few months ago he found out that his best friend was moving and I told the both of them that if his friends parents decide to sell their house to let me know. They both forgot, and then when his mother stopped by I casually mentioned it in conversation and she had no clue. Needless to say, if they decide to sell their home I will be the listing agent.

I would love to see the note books you got.  I have been looking for a neat marketing item that is different than what others in my market have.

Cyndee-Doesn't it just make you so proud?? LOL

Sally- Why? Maybe their friends or friends parents need to sell or buy a home...  Have they though of that?

Denise- Absolutely. My girls have cheered for 5 years, son has been in sports for almost 7. A lot of people tend to just ask for advice, but I always give it. It will come back to me in the end.

Yvonne- Don't worry they will get there.

Randy, I will take a picture of one later and post it on here. I love them, they come in Red, Blue, and Green. I order the from Veteran's Promotions Inc. out of California. I will pass along their number as well. They are a hot new item, I think I got 50 for $80 dollars (This included shipping and handling) My sales rep had 1,000 made at no additional expense to me; she took the remaining 950 to a trade show in Vegas and sold out of them. What a great way to get my name across the nation.

Great point, Laura...you're exactly right! That's how I have gotten at least 6 of my clients, through my kids school or sports.

I was told a long time ago that if you don't mention it when you meet a person, that could be a lost sale. Take every opportunity to inject it somewhere into the conversation!

Happy Selling!

Well, their choice....My daughter has given my cards out when someone talks about it...my son is just a gamer and doesn't hang out with anyone. Little ones are soooo proud of their parents....bigger ones just want to do their own thing....until they get bigger..
