Free decorating classes will take place after hours at the Avon Lake True Value Hardware store, 375 Lear Rd # A.

"Spring is right around the corner, so we're getting our customers primed and ready to tackle some projects and decor within their homes," says Rhonda Schneider, owner and manager of the Avon Lake True Value Hardware store. "I've brought in some of the best in the business to teach these classes, and I hope both men and women will join us," she adds.

Rikk Mayr of Renaissance Restoration will teach "Faux Painting Techniques" from 2-4 p.m. on March 8 where he will impart his knowledge of artistic wall treatments, custom finishes, color and the creative process.

Suzanne Cox-Hudson from What a Lovely Home will teach "Fabulous Colors for Your Home" from 2-4 on March 15. She will lecture on how to use color effectively in interior spaces and "green" decorating options.

Refreshments will be provided at both events.
