Hi Dawn ~ I have mixed feelings about stamp prices. On the one hand I think you get a whole lot of service for less than 50 cents. Pretty amazing actually. On the other hand the incessant increases are driving me nuts. I buy loads of commemorative stamps and I hate that they're out of date (i.e I need to spoil the look with those ugly two-centers) so quickly.
I also mail out books and other doohickies I sell online and the postal service has lost its mind - there are now about four ways that the cost of mailing is calculated - size, thickness, weight and distance. They need to average things out and go back to ONE way to calculate cost. My annual real estate calendars were an example - the spiral binding meant that 90% went out at one price but the remaining ones were returned with postage due - of varying amounts. They can't even figure out what it should cost - how can the customers?!
Sorry to rant!!
Liz
