Spring is Near....

I was leaving the office today after completing a CMA for a client who is interested in selling St. Clair Shores real estate and as I started my car, what did I hear on the radio? Detroit Tigers baseball on our local fm sports channel!

It was so good to hear! The Tigers were playing their Grapefruit League home opener against the Atlanta Braves. The Tigers ended up pulling out a victory by a score of 5 to 4.

It's been a long cold winter here and this is our traditional first sign of spring! The Detroit Tigers regular season home opener is Friday, April 10th at 1:05 p.m. vs. the Texas Rangers.

I enjoy the 4 seasons in Michigan, but I think I'm ready for summer and some Tigers baseball. How bout you?

Absolutely Mike!

Grew up in Toledo in the 80's and I still remember '84 very vividly with the likes of Whitaker, Trammell, Parrish, Lemon, Morris, Petry.

Hopefully a nice bounce back year for Verlander on the horizon here!

Mike, I am sooooo ready for spring and the Tigers! Not real thrilled with the way spring training has started, but they have so much talent. They HAVE to do better this year, don't they?? I'm going to the Tiger/Yankmee game in Tampa on March 21st, and I can't wait.

Whew! Rough spring training so far. But how can we expect to win when all of our stars are playing in the WBC? I'm not going to panic....yet.

Marianne, yeah lets not panic, it's only spring training / exhibition games. I believe when they won the world series in 84 they had a terrible spring training record.
