Funny thing happened today. It was the first time I had a "conversation" with one of my clients via text messaging. I was sitting in the dentist office waiting for my dentist to come back after I was already numbed up. Of course my phone goes off. I notice the number as one of my clients who is having a home built. I knew she was a texter....so I thought why not? I sent her a text explaining my situation but I would be happy to answer her question via text. In a few minutes I had her question answered and my dentist still wasn't in the room LOL. Is texting always appropriate... NO. I never would have texted this client if I hadn't noticed she did text. Does she feel her business is important to me... you bet! Don't be afraid to think outside the box.

And to think that a couple of years ago, I questioned whether I'd ever need to have "texting service" on my phone!  Like you, today I found myself waiting in the doctor's office for an extended time, and it seemed the perfect opportunity to touch base with several of my clients who I know are comfortable with texting and technology.  It worked like a charm!
