January 22 Becky Brand MEME'D me while I was on vacation! I begged forgiveness until I got home, but now my time is up and so is yours. Guess you have to let me ramble about myself for awhile. I promise not be be too boring and if I am just move on to another blog, but don't delete me. I might get lost in the deleted file and no one would ever find me again, let alone poor little ole' me. I apologize for not be techy enough to properly link & tag others.

A few things others probably don't know about me yet...
* Popcorn is my favorite snack. I make two large batches of popcorn, one for me and one for my husband. I don't like to share my popcorn.
* I enjoy cutting and stacking wood with my husband each fall, but I hate the job of bringing it in the house. That seems like work, but I love a roaring fire while watching a good movie.
* I love a beautiful snowfall and I even enjoy shoveling most of the time. Erie's annual average is approx 100 inches, but this year we are trying to beat the record of 149.6 inches. To date: 140.5", but I think I am ready for spring.
* Cross country skiing is one of my favorite winter activities; in summer I walk in the woods or along the shores of Lake Erie, but I have been known to sneak down south each winter and walk on the beach while my friends are freezing & shoveling snow. Please don't tell them. They might not be my friend.

* I will watch football or baseball games by myself when my husband is out of town. My adult daughter who has three boys thinks I am nuts.
* My grandsons, Hunter & Jacob

* Bermuda cruise with my husband, Dave

* My all-time best vacation was aboard the US'N TWO as my husband's first mate. We took our boat US'N TWO across Lake Erie into the Erie Canal, now known as the New York Barge Canal. We traveled east through a series of locks and under lift bridges and saw a lot of beautiful countryside. We went about 50 miles east of Rochester, NY. Each day started about 6:00 and ended about twelve hours later when we docked. We only had enough energy for shower and quick dinner before crashing in the berth. I never slept so soundly or felt so relaxed as I did after that vacation.

* In the summer my favorite activity (It's Five O'Clock Somewhere) is having a glass of wine on my front porch 'watching the grass grow' in the 50 acre field across the road. "Watching the grass grow" is my husband's favorite saying. It means not much is happening.
View from our front porch.

* As a young teacher my seventh grade homeroom was dubbed 'The Zoo' by the other teachers since I allowed the students to bring in so many specimens like frogs, bees, worms, etc.
* Today my pets are the birds & squirrels that come to the feeders each day. Last year we had more three turkeys who brought their chicks young twice a day. The first day the little ones could barely stand without a little help from mom.
* My creative side: flower arrangements

* I am a friend of Lois & Bill W.
* DOG race at PIYC (Dingy Owner Race at Presque Isle Yacht Club) is our of our favorite summer activity

* I must confess that writing this MEME has been fun. Thanks, Becky
The following picture will give you a view of my world in the summer with Erie in the background. Come cruise with us aboard US'N TWO.

Here are the friends I'm going to tag with links to their blogs:
THE RULES: (as passed along to me...)
- Create a blog post with a link to the person who so happily tagged you for a MEME.
- List all of these rules in your post. Feel free to cut & paste this. (which doesn't work anymore, for me anyway)
- Share things that others may not know about you. DO, HAVE or I HAD a life outside of real estate?
- Identify other Active Rain members to tag for a MEME, and provide links to their blogs in your own MEME (heaven help me with that directive. We'll see if I can do it)
- Contact each of the tagged members and let them know that you were indeed fast enough to catch them and that you did indeed tag them..no matter how much they say you missed them!
- No school yard rules in this MEME, nope you gotta do it if you are tagged. (I hear the MEME police are out in force, rounding up folks who ignore this "invitation")
- Post a link to your MEME in the comments of this post-the one in which you were publicly tagged! Good grief, another challenge...
- Include your post in the MEME's Group. (Join the group first) Phew, I did that already.
You did it! And it looks pretty good! Here is a link that talks about how to insert photos - I hope it helps:
