450? is that all. You do realize that bigger banks offer better rates and programs, right? As a Realtor you do realize you can not stear someone toward who you want them to get a loan through. You can however give about 3 recommendations...but can not insist on who they go through....That would also set you up for being investigated for takeing kickbacks.

The amount is actually $500. I am not steering anybody towards a lender. However, I am passing along information that consumers and employeers in the Frisco Texas area may not know about. If you know of any other lenders who will put their closing cost discount in writing, I will be happy to write a blog about them too.

As for rates and programs, strange that you would comment since none were mentioned. Furthermore, you seem to work as mortgage broker. I am very confident that First Horizon is BIG enough to be very competitive.

Chuck must have misread the post....

And you are correct, their rates are right in there with the rest of the big boys. My old company used to broker loans to First Horizon. They are a solid lender.
