In the early 1980's when the economy was really bad and Luxury Properties were
not selling quickly I had many listings. In order for them to be shown and have
activity and trying to help all my sellers to get the BEST exposure possible, I started
a group in Atlanta, Georgia called "Powerhouse International". Once a month my
group (Luxury Real Estate Brokers and Agents from various real estate companies)
would meet at one of the listings for brunch and then we would all preview each
others properties. It worked then an the concept works now!
In the 2008 I have formed a group in FIABCI (The International Real Estate
Federation) called FIABCI Luxury Properties Group. One a month we get together
on a conference call with all the agents and brokers and we discuss what is working
around the country for everyone. Each month new ideas are explored and new tools
are given to all the participants.
This month we introduced the International Multiple Listing Service - Proxio. I am
happy to tell you that I am impressed with this new service where agents can list
their properties and expose them Internationally. They can choose who gets to
see them if these listings are private and sellers only want them seen by the network
of their agent or they can be exposed worldwide.
We summarize the call with all the tips that everyone has shared and we post it on
our discussion board for the members who have missed the call can go and read
about the meeting and all the tips. The POWER is in NETWORKING! It's great that
you can earn while you learn from brokers from all over the country. We had many
participants this month from Hawaii and heard some incredible success stories.
