I’m not sure why I was born organized. I guess it was my “gift”. While the others kids in the neighborhood were taking piano lessons and attending football camps, I was making lists and multi-tasking. It’s no wonder that I love Paperport – a great organizational tool, whether you were born organized or just want to be. Although I can’t claim to be paperless, I can say that I no longer carry home a “paper box” full of files on the weekend. All my listing and sales files are neatly organized digital documents. I once had a huge box of CMA files I called “future listings” complete with legal descriptions, maps, and hand written notes. That box is now gonzo. Now I simply scan (or fax to email) the paper info plus the digital CMA to a Paperport file for each future listing. Once the home is listed I simply move the whole group to the file created for that listing. Other uses? I have an “ideas” file which includes scanned paper ideas plus other documents. Each of my office systems has a file including a Pre-Listing File, a Buyer Book File, a Seller Communications Book File with all the documents needed for each system, whether it is a Word, Excel or PDF file. While I still can’t play the piano, Paperport is music to my ears!

Linda, while you were making lists and multitasking, I was trying "once again" to keep my world and my mind clutter free. All these years later it is still something I aspire to, so if you're ever in New York let me know. Perhaps if I touch you some of it will wear off on me. People like you impress the hell out of me.

Thank YOU. I'm going to try this. I hate clutter. When I do mine, we'll go visit Geri out East and help her. She's always "on the phone" anyhow!

Check out www.myfax.com and also the Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner. Between the two of them we have virtually eliminated the paper in our office.

Paperport is awesome!!
I have used it since my first day of college back in 1995...and have been using it ever since. I have close to 200 gigs worth of PDF'S from the past 11 years...and make 3 different backsup of everything(one for offsite storage, one external drive on pc, and then to another internal drive......
I just installed Paperport 11 Pro, has anyone tried this out yet? They claim it's 2x faster then before. I don't know about 2x, but it is definately faster...

I love paperport also. And if you have paperport, you do not need a seperate fax email or anything. My faxes come in over the fax line and go straight to my computer into paperport.
