With the current economic conditions in the world and the US today, is our country moving in the correct direction to pull out in front of the world's economy?

What steps do you feel should be done to move our country in the right direction?

I feel instead of giving the bail outs to the banks and other companies give the money to the general public and let us stimulate the economy.

What do you think?

How about not having a stimulas package at all?  Try saving and cut back in government not more... more government is never cheaper.

There are some summaries of the stimulus package out ther and some of the itmes make sense such as improving long overlooked infrastructure but for the most part it is too little too late. It's like the government is droping care packages from a helicopter after the big storm... nice but it does not solve the problem.
