Heading into the final weeks of the regular season, the North Carolina Tar Heels Men's basketball team beat Georgia Tech after Maryland beat them in overtime last week.
The loss to Maryland was not a good loss because Maryland wasn't ranked. Maryland seems to find a way to win at home against ranked ACC teams though. It is part of what makes the ACC a difficult conference to be in.
All of the problems that Carolina had last week seemed to be ironed out. All of their top producers on the court like Danny Green and Tyler Hansbrough both had big nights in the ways that they usually have gotten the job done. Green had a good second half, the Charlotte Observer said. Hansbrough got inside to the basket and got fouled a bunch, which is his job.
The Tar Heels look forward to their second meeting with Duke that is the traditional end to both team's season. Then the ACC tournament begins and then the NCAA Tournament begins. This is going to be a really fun March with so many local teams and teams from North Carolina in the running to do great things in the tournament. Check it out in Charlotte NC.
