Snow in March? In the South? Pretty wild weather, but we should be getting some snow Sunday night, Monday morning and again Tuesday morning. I have no doubts my kids will beg us for the right winter clothing so they can go out and make a new snowman. We seem to get about 1 snowfall per year here in Greenville. I hope this one pans out to be a memorable snowfall for the kids!
This brings back bad memories of '93 when an 11 year old boy, who got a new sled for Christmas when he was 6, was in Disney World the entire time there was a blizzard at his house! Then, when it finally snowed again a few years later, he was at Grandma's without the sled, so his mom let some other guy in the neighborhood ride the sled for the first time, thus scarring the boy for life.
Nah, snow in March doesn't make me bitter. Promise.
Seriously, we had a TORNADO this morning, hard rain the first half of the day. Then humidity like a rainforest. THEN 70 degree, short-sleeve weather, NOW the temperature has slid down to 40 degrees, and supposed to SNOW in a few hours. What the....?
We're scheduled for lots of it within the next few days too. Frankly, I've had enough of it for this season. It's not the snow that I mind, it's the icy aftermath and showing houses when you've got to trudge thru the unshoveled walkways to get to the front door.
