... or not.

This seal is one of many adorning the vault doors in the old Courthouse.  Originally built as a Federal Courthouse in 1932, the building is now office condo's in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska.  This is one of about a dozen vaults in the building, most of which have had the lock mechanism removed... but a select few still remain.

Jesse, we certainly are going to have to trust in God, because we cannot trust in the Almighty dollar! Look where that trust has taken us...

Good morning my friend,

I have to agree with Michael and the only thing I can add is maybe we should consider talking the locksoff of the FEDS vaults and weld the shut for a little bit.  You know like maybe the next 30 or 490 years.

Jesse, courthouse to condos. Now THAT is a transformation. I wonder if people sleep in the vaults? Talk about privacy, unless you lose the combo or key.

Every time I try to shoot photos of something like this -- OK, it's not like I have a ton of seals at my disposal -- but any stationary object, I get a flash glare in the photo. Without the flash, it's too dark. I don't know how you take such spectacular photos, Jesse, but you have a tremendous talent.

Very nice Jesse. As a one time Courthouse I'll bet some colorful characters had their day in the chambers.

Very nice Jesse.  I notice a lot of cracking is the seal plaster or cermanic?  Have a great week.  We are having Alaska like weather today.  Kids are off school and snow is starting to pile up.  They are precdicting bitter cold to follow.  I was hoping I was done with this for the year, sigh!
