As most people that have been viewing this site for any amount of time know, we're in a constant struggle to create a better experience for our users.  One of the main issues is how do allow users to most efficiently view the blog posts that they want to read.  So I want to pose this question to our members, how do you currently browse through posts?

Do you just look at the featured ones?

Do you browse through them by date, order by highest rated or most commented on?

Do you only read the ones marked as "For real estate professionals" or do you read others as well?

Do you use the associates groups to select your favorite bloggers and view your associates blogs?

Do you use the now blog archives feature to show all the posts for a day on a single page?

Do you prefer to see the full blog post or a short summary and then click to view the full post?

I know it's a lot of questions, but inquiring minds want to know...

I start with the comments on my own blog. I go to the rainers who have commented and read their blogs. I then read blogs by those that commented.

THen I check Featured blogs, then ALL blogs. As I read comments, I will go to rainers that have made interesting comments and read their blogs.

I never thought about looking at associates blogs or blog archives.

I prefer to see the full blog post .

Now you have me thinking about how I look at blogs. I didn't have to think before..:-)

I browse the subjects and select from that, except when it comes to Bryants posts... they're all read carefully.... what a mind that guy has!!  Some of his posts I want to share in our roundtable at the office for new agents (with his permission of course)

It depends on  my mood. But I do look at those blogs that have been written by someone who commented on mine. And I look for special people. For instance, Kristal usually writes something informative, useful and worth the read.

I seem to read the ones that pop out at me but sometimes I wish I could search for a specific term easier.  Everytime I have tried to search like that it just tells me nothing found.

I read my associates blogs first, then time permitting I take a look at the Featured Blogs but only once have I gone to the Forum group.

I prefer seeing the entire blog.

Generally I go through my associate blogs, then the features blogs, and if there's time the most interesting or most commenting. It's been a long time since I've had time to go through All Blogs. The only problem with this approach is that sometimes I'll run out of time on my associate blogs and not read all the new ones, and then the next time I'll only go back to the ones I read before, missing the remainders from last time.

I find myself using Archives a lot and enjoying it. It lets me read new bloggers' blogs because I see the summary, and also lets me run through and see any I might have missed.  It's also great in that if you were away for a few days (or too busy for those days) you can go back and find them easier later.

I'd like to be able to search by subject and keyword since I sometimes want to find a blog I read in the last few months.

Yes, but they tend to be the same, well written, strong opinioned people and I know I'm missing good content elsewhere.  Time is limited.

Do you browse through them by date, order by highest rated or most commented on?   Date  I forget that rating thing and cheat many that I read by not rating them.

Do you only read the ones marked as "For real estate professionals" or do you read others as well?   Others

Do you use the associates groups to select your favorite bloggers and view your associates blogsI have thought I should not set up associates with people whom I have not 'met', but the point made earlier about being able to quickly access the associates' blogs, etc. and get to them has given me a different picture of setting associations.

Do you use the now blog archives feature to show all the posts for a day on a single page?   I haven't had time to get through the fresh stuff.  I have used the search option to locate people, but not much else.

Do you prefer to see the full blog post or a short summary and then click to view the full post?  Summary and click if it's not too much work for you.

There are so many voluable members making good comments.  I see the blogs needing more refined topic sorting which then takes them into the sphere of message boards and forum threads.  Mostly, just keep up the good work.

I know it's a lot of questions, but inquiring minds want to know...

I browse using a multitude of ways, bloghome, my associates blogs and random states and searching blogs. There it is hard to define ecaclty what my habits are because they change from day to day. By changing my habit I find new post that i otherwise wouldnt have.

I am new to this and blogging. But as of now, I typically go to the featured blog and sometimes day 1 and sometimes I go the real estate industry.

In regards to how I want to view a blog. I prefer to see the whole blog.

 thanks,

jeff
