It's still winter in Central Virginia and the burning question the kids will be asking tonight - Is there school tomorow? The Weather Channel is forcasting LOTS of snow for the Lynchburg area: There is a winter storm warning for Lynchburg and surrounding counties until 11am March 2.

WSET.COM is forcasting 5-10 inches in Central and Southside Virginia by morning.  The counties surrounding Lynchburg, Virgina are large and while we don't normally have a lot of snow, black ice on the roads can be a hazard.   The streets in your neighborhood may be clear, but there may be dangerous conditions elsewhere. Please don't drive unless absolutely necessary.

Debbie: this snow storm is huge -- it is coming our way too! 10-16 inches! Yikes -- I am ready for spring!  NOT.

Your photo is awesome! Snow days were always the best. And why drive anywhere when you can sled instead! Except for a light dusting this morning, we were thankfully spared. I anticipate a lot of winter wonderland photos in the Wordless Wednesday group this week!

I am still clicking my heels and hoping that it really won't come. Thank goodness I have extra bottles of wine in the fridge. Be safe.

Debbie, I happened to be on the phone with my cousin tonight who lives in Virginia and told me they announce the school closings the night before. I think it's a wonderful idea and sure wish they would do that here!

Carole, if there's a  hint of snow, the schools most likely will close. These counties are large and cover rural areas, it's better to be safe than sorry. (We had to have six inches on the ground before MASS schools would consider closing)

Naoma, it was coming down heavy this afternoon, but we've only had about an inch in Forest and it's a slushy mix. Leaving in the morning for Fredericksburg shouldn't be a problem.

Even in Georgia schools are closed today from the snow, but it's thawing out today.

Hello all, well, we had more than our fair share of show, about 7 inches by morning! Not enough to keep me from driving to REbar Camp in Fredericksburg, VA. Thanks for stopping by. I'm sure we're all ready for winter to be over already!

Good evening. I like coincidences. They make me wonder about destiny, and whether free will is an illusion or just a matter of perspective. They let me speculate on the idea of some master plan that, from time to time, we're allowed to see out of the corner of our eye. I am from Somalia and learning to speak English, give please true I wrote the following sentence: "Time left great buy fast shipping jul." Thank you so much for your future answers :). Marcia.
