Pretty Cool Marchel, I bet this is your husband's arm. I would be afraid they would bite my finger.
What a great picture! The flying acrobatics to actually snag a snack from your hand are work too you know! HA HA! Have a good week my friend!
Marchel - Your photos are amazing... Thank you for sharing all the beauty of your life with us.
Marcel - what a great photo. Those birds are fearless that is for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Marchel, My "GULLY" - Photography has got to become a part-time profession for you, yes? Some of these are just priceless!
Marchel,
At the Jersey shore, we called them "winged rats." They sure are graceful, though. Great photo!
Mike in Tucson
LARA, Thanks! It take me back to being there also.
MARIAN, They were our best friend with the bread but Wow did they turn their nose on grapefruit.
GARY, They do become quite friendly at chow time; don't they!!
TREY, I always let someone else do the holding of the bread and then I take the picture. You might say there is a method behind my madness.
JANE, Actually that was a friends arm. We do have a picture of my husband holding bread and a bird grabbing it but it was taken in the mid 1970's and was taken using one of those Instamatic's that were so popular back then. If you look at my points you will see that it is getting very close.
RUSSELL, They are quite the acrobatics. They also loved to hang out on the dingy we were trailing along behind our sail boat.
MARY, I always let someone else give the bread and I take the picture.
JOHN, I did take that picture and yes the bird was very close. We took a sailboat trip to the BVI's a few years ago and these guys hung out with us the entire time looking for a free meal. We did find out that they do not like grapefruit. It was so funny they would pick it up drop it, the next would pick it up drop it.
DEBBIE, Thanks! This was a fun trip!! We would love to go again some day.
SHARON, They are fearless!! They are beautiful to watch dipping through the sky.
DIANE, It is amazing what you can do when you have the right equipment. I have been having fun with the camera but oh my there is so much to learn.
MIKE, Winged rats is a good description. I must say they are a lot prettier than a rat though.
MYRL, Thanks! This was a picture that I took also. I love our camera. It makes all the difference having the right equipment.
BILL, Thanks! I would sure like to be in the BVI's again to feed them.
Marchel, You not only take great photos, but it starts with the idea of what to take, Karen
Marchel, great picture - and YOU took it? Wow...having a good camera makes all of the difference, doesn't it? Of course, having the eye helps too. ;-)
WENDY, Thanks! I have to be honest I was clicking, clicking, clicking to get that shot.
KAREN, These guys were oh so happy to be our models. They were so fun to watch. We really thought they were cute on the dingy until we saw the mess they left behind for us YUCK.
TERI, Having a good camera makes all the difference in the world. I love our camera.
