I have not seen the overwhelming success that we should be experiencing with this kind of incentive, but I believe it's due to the buyers it's targeting. First time home buyers take a little time to check things out and feel confortable. In my opinion, they'll definately get off the fence and move forward with caution. I have seen some success already, so I'm thinking this $8,000 incentive will do what it's intended to do as far as giving a boost to the housing economy. Everything is in line already to benefit the buyer as far as historically low interest rates, large attractive selection of bargain-priced homes from which to choose, great low and no down mortgage loan programs, etc. Buyers have been sitting on the fence, and I believe this will cause buyers to take a flying leap off the fences to find their dream hones.
