Winter 2009 I just had to share a few photos with you.

It has been a long, cold winter with almost a record snowfall and so many people are complaining.  I just had to capture the beauty of the season with my camera.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I did while taking these photos.

Hello everyone.  Thanks for your comments.  If I could take a picture of the sunshine I would.  It is beautiful today.

Sharon,

Yes, it has been cold throughout most of the east this year.  Soon, right?

Keep in touch.

Looks beautiful but COLD! Yeah I know I am from Colorado but still pretty cold looking! You were right I do live in the Pikes Peak Region but the photo is of Red Mountian Pass close to Durango CO.

Thanks!

Mary, Thanks so much for the link to these photos. They are breathtaking. (They make me shiver just looking at them.) I particularly love the last one with the trees framing the shot.

Thanks for your comments and support. John

Beautiful pictures, but it even looks cold! Funny, we have a Walnut Creek in our area too! Being from Buffalo, I can appreciate this type of snow and weather. Stay warm!

Kelly--I remember hiking near Durango when my sister lived in Colorado Springs.  Love the mountains.  You may have cold & snow, too, but you have more sunshine.  Enjoy.

John,--Thanks for visiting my neck of the woods.  Today I can share a little warmth.  I will check you site shortly.

Linda--Some names seem to pop everywhere.  When my daughter lived in Raleigh area we drove by Yonkers Rd many times on I-40.  She said it reminded her of home.

Make it a great day for yourself and someone else.  Mary Yonkers
