Whether it's new construction, a gut rehab or a renovation, the length of your home construction project can vary greatly.

Your contractor or builder should look at all the drawings and plans and submit a bid for how long the work should take, before anything gets started. Many times the length of the project will depend on the weather. Outside or foundation work will take longer in the winter.

Watch the Expert Real Estate Tips video for more information about how to schedule and plan your home construction project.
