I've been trying to come up with a way to post my thoughts on the economy and how it effects our real estate markets, our families, our lives.  Best I can do is the the title for this post.  If blogs are supposed to be about the writer's personality, perspective and whatever the other "p" was, check out the links below.  They about say it all for me, without going into all of the gory details of what a colossal mess this nation is in.  Oh, Lord, I hope the other "p" wasn't supposed to be Positive.

Residual Rock & Roll?  Who knows, but this song's been rattling around my head all morning.  And I was never really a Lynyrd Skynyrd freak!

Another good one!

Ok, back to work...  Anybody know of someone looking for a house in 125,000 range in Lexington, let me know!  Or a 102,000 home at Walnut Creek Court in Lexington.  Or a condo in the 149,000 range at Boardwalk Villas.  Or Lot at Lake Murray, 249,000 range.  Or a golf home on Charleston National Golf Club 445,000.  Or that little Chalet in Johnsonville for $26,000,000.  (http://tinyurl.com/b8h2p3)  Let me know.  With a sale on that last one we could affect a bail out of our little hacienda in Ballentine, and your favorite real estate agent would get a huge boat to ride you around Lake Murray this summer.  Hey, life and business ain't all bad!

Gimme Back My Bullets

Life is so strange when its changin', yes indeed
Well I've seen the hard times and the pressure's been on me
But I keep on workin' like the workin' man do
And I've got my act together, gonna walk all over you

[chorus]
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around 'cause I done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back my bullets

Sweet talkin' people done ran me out of town
And I drank enough whiskey to float a battleship around
But I'm leavin' this game one step ahead of you
And you will not hear me cry 'cause I do not sing the blues

[chorus]
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around 'cause I done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back, gimme back my bullets
Oh, put 'em back... where they belong

Been up and down since I turned seventeen
Well I've been on top, and then it seems I lost my dream
But I got it back, I'm feelin' better everyday
Tell all those pencil pushers, better get out of my way

[chorus]
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around, 'cause I done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back, gimme back my bullets
Oh put 'em back where they belong
Gimme back my bullets

Thanks Van Zants!

    This Is It

There have been times in my life
I've been wondering why
Still somehow I believed
We'd always survive
Now I'm not so sure
You're waiting to hear
One good reason to try
But what more can I say
What's left to provide
You think that maybe it's over
Only if you want it to be
Are you gonna wait for your sign, your
miracle
Stand up and fight
This is it
Make no mistake where you are
This is it
Your back's to the corner
This is it
Don't be a fool anymore
This is it
The waiting is over
No room to run
No way to hide
No time for wondering why
It's here
The moment is now
About to decide
Let him believe
Or leave him behind
But keep me near in your heart
And know, whatever you do
I'm here by your side
You said that maybe it's over
Not if you don't want it to be
For once in your life, here's your miracle
Stand up and fight
This is it
Make no mistake where you are
This is it
You're going no further
This is it
Until it's over and done
No one can tell you what you know
Who makes the choice of how it goes
It's not up to me this time
You know
There comes a day in every life
This is it
Make no mistake where you are
This is it
You're going no further
This is it
Until it's over and done
This is it
One way or another
This is it
No one can tell what the future holds
This is it
Your back's to the corner
This is it
You make the choice of how it goes
This is it
The waiting is over
This is it
No one can tell what the future holds
This is it
You're going no further

Thanks Kenny Loggins!

You crack me up!  I'm sick of it too, wish I could ignore it, but when I see dear friends suffering it is hard to ignore.

Julie and Ann.  It's funny, but it's not funny!  May as well laugh.  Red Skelton said, "Don't take life too seriously.  You're not going to get out of it alive anyway."

The mortgage ideas that I just heard on the news today actually sounds like a plan.  We'll see.

Thanks to you both for commenting.  Hope it gets better for all, and soon.
