Are you going through a hard time?

I have a friend that is.  I think he is a little depressed...

I was planning on shooting him a quick email, basically asking him "When was the last time you worked out?"

But instead, I thought I would make it a post...

I know a lot of people going through hard times.  All stressed out for one reason or another...

I have been there.  I have been stressed out too...

When I am, the one thing that makes me feel happier is working out.

You know, exercising...

I doesn't really matter how much.  A brisk walk will do...

But if you feel down on things and want to feel just a little bit better?

Why don't you try working out...

You will be happy you did.

Actually this morning.  I can always tell a difference when I do not workout.   I will admit I do need to up the pace though.

Working out makes me feel better always for one reason or another. I am on a 3 times a week go to Snap Fitness schedule.

working out is awesome. I work out 2 times per day as I am attempting to lose a total of 400 lbs. Over the last 3 years I have lost 160 lbs, and I am on track to lose 120 lbs this year. Its been a fantastic journey and I encourage people to take action before things get out of hand. Depression can be a very destructive force.

Hi Ken,

Very good advice!  I walk about 1.5 miles on my lunch hour, some days.  When it's raining, I run up and down the stairs in our building.  :)

Working out does help me reduce what little strees I have.  I only wish I had more time to go, since I only get to do it three times a week.  I guess that is better than not working out at all.

PS: I go to the gym to work out and always wear something with my company logo on it......gets people asking questions, try it, might work for you too.

Ken, I work out ALL THE TIME, so you didn't catch me on this one. It has become such a normal routine part of my life that when I miss it, it really bothers me and I can feel the lack of working out the next day. It is good for what ails you and can lift your spirits. Make that body talk!!

Ken, Thanks for bringing it up... it's been awhile. Last year I was devoted to running and worked out with a trainer 1-2 times a week. My last 10K was in December and I have worked out very little since then. I just haven't felt as motivated for some reason.

Maybe this is a sign that I need to get moving again. I'll let you know how it goes!

Right about now I'm feeling guilty.  Working out is always something I'm planning to start . . . tomorrow.  I wish I had a treadmill.  My brother has one and does three miles every morning before he leaves for work.

I am happy for those of you that keep it as a regular part of your life.

One of the best ways to relieve stress and lower blood pressure is to work out.

I know exactly what you mean.  I havne't done a full blown work-out in a while.  And it ticks me off.  But I feel sooo much better when I really push it.  I don't think I've ever heard anyone say it doesnt' make them feel better.  You may be sore for a while, but doesn't it feel great?

Hi Cindy, Robert, and John.  Thanks for reading.

I have the health club as part of my regular routine.

It is easy to fall out of it, but great when you are doing it.

Thanks again,

Ken
