Alright, I just have to ask...

Hey, ActiveRain, when are you going to give Janna Rankin Scharf a FEATURED post already???

Janna was one of the very first people to introduce herself to me here in the Rain.  She is friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and a darn good blog writer.  She is local (not to be confused with loco, but her kids would probably have to disagree for all the stalking she does on Facebook) to me and belongs to one the groups I admin here on AR.  I have flagged her so many times that I think I'm developing carpel tunnel.

Janna Rankin Scharf - blogging diva! So, if you won't do it, I will.  Here I go...  (Sorry Janna, I stole this photo off your FB page - please don't report me!)

Here is just a sampling of some of her great posts (and these are only from the last couple of weeks)!

Alright, ActiveRain, whose bumm do I need to kiss to get this lady a featured post, already???

In fact, I think I'm going to start another AR group.

The "Get Janna Rankin Scharf a FEATURED post!" group.

Thanks...Maryellen

Kevin & Maryellen, I agree with you, she is great, but life is not fair on the ......BTW starting a group like that you will accomplish that you will be chastised and become an outcast as well....something like I become for different reasons... I took on one of the favoret sons without mentioning his name  ironically that  post was featured:)))Believe me never will that happen again.LOL

Maryellen,

First I would like to say that you have a very pretty name; it is enjoyable to pronounce.  Secondly, I want to thank you for this heads up, Janna is a fabulous blogger and deserves (has gotten) a feature.

Hi Maryellen,

What a wonderful person you are! Kudos to you for reaching out to others...BTW, I also subscribed to your blog, I love to see this kindness shared among the Rain and a variety of professions.

And thanks to you I also clicked on over to Janna's blog myself and found some very useful info in a particular post and left her a comment letting her know.

Now I also see that you have the "marathon man" commenting on your/her post with a FEATURE, congrats!

Lynda,

Blogging after dark?  Good for you, me too.  Thanks for stopping by and subscribing to my blog.  I really appreciate it.  And, I just know that you will find Janna to be great.  We joke about it, but we've never actually met face-to-face yet.  We are cyber-buddies, it's kind of sweet.

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Maryellen

Hi Maryellen - Thanks to your tenacity I discovered a couple of new bloggers tonight! When I joined ActiveRain in 2006, there were only about 5,000 members so I can appreciate how hard it can be for someone to get noticed today. This is a very nice gesture you did for Janna.

Helps to flag posts that you feel deserve to be featured... there are only about 12 features per day, and about 138,000 members, so an individual member has only a .0087% chance of being featured each day.  Of course the chances should be much higher for an excellent writer, but it's tough to get noticed in that big of a crowd!

I saw Janna's featured post... could it be coincidence?   I'm sure the AR gurus can't read every single post ('bet it feels to them like they do), and that's probably why they give members the option to flag other people's posts for a feature.

Maryellen, what a riot you are, and what a sweetheart!  What a surprise to wake up to see your new group - to get ME a featured post!  I'm sure it will soon grow to be one of the largest and most active AR groups!

I have to admit that it is great to see that gold star by my name, because I am wired to be competitive, but with or without it, I love AR!  When I joined about 6 months ago, I never anticipated the value here in terms of knowledge and friendships.  It has blown my mind!

I haven't spent as much time blogging since the first of the year - I have been focusing on my business plan and lead generation, trying to kick my real estate career into action in my new town.  Now I realize that for my own mental outlook, I NEED to keep up my blogging and commenting and learning and connections on AR, which explains my recent flurry of posts.  And, if I don't kick it back into high gear, I just may wake up one day to find you have passed me in points to steal  earn one of those nice Featured Agent spots at the top of the page that I worked so hard to steal earn from Pam!

She does have a great blog.  Hopefully her readership will only expand from here.  I know I'm a regular!  Thanks for stopping by!

.0087%!!!  Never thought of it that way!  Yikes!

Margaret

No coincidence here.  Jon (comment #3) featured her post right after being introduced here.  I'm glad to say I had a small part in it.  Even though her content and writing stands out on its own and would have happened eventually anyway.

Mike

Thanks!  Your blog ain't too bad, either! ;)

Janna,

Awww!  You're awesome and I can't believe its taken this long for AR to recognize your efforts.  I always love to read your blog and feel honored every time you re-blog one of mine.  I can't wait for the day we see each other face-to-face, it will be like a reunion!

Your cyber buddy!
