We are truly blessed!  We live in a country that allows us to do what ever we wish to earn our living.  We can be scientists, doctors, astronauts, spies, laborers, teacher and realtors to name just a few things that we can do.  We have been told (for the most part) since we were young that we can literally be anything that we wished to be.  Hard work, education and perserverence were the keys to success, we were told.

I still believe that!  I believe that it is never too late to change ourselves and our lives.  We can make ourselves into what ever we wish to.  We can educate ourselves, retrain ourselves and reach beyond we may have thought impossible at one time.  It is up to us to do with our lives what we choose.  I read a quote from Neal Maxwell that says:  "The truth is that you can spend your life any way you want, but you can only spend it once."

This is also true, if we give up or limit ourselves because something seems difficult or impossible, or tell ourselves what we can't do.  Then we will spend our lives being miserable, knowing that there was always something more out there for us.  We never feel that fulfillment that comes from dreaming the impossible dream, then making it come true.  Worse yet, is if we get caught up in something like a drug addiction and waste the promise that we all have been blessed with.

I have known people that were born with a lot of money, and others that began life dirt poor.  The beginning didn't matter, it was the path that they took and the end that mattered most of all.  We all have inside of us the possibility of being great, it is the promise of this great nation!  Make the most of it, you only go through life one time, so you may as well be successful and enjoy it!  Make it a great week!

That is absolutely true! I have been a big believer in working hard to get to where you want to go. You can't NOT work and still expect to do well financially.

That Neal A. Maxwell quote is so true- another one I like (from a Disney movie :) ) goes a little something like this;

"Set your sights upon the heights. Don't be a mediocrity. Don't just wait and trust to fate and say that's how it's meant to be. It's up to you how far you go. If you don't try you'll never know, and so my lad as I've explained, nothing ventured, nothing gained." -The Sword and the Stone

Reminds me of something my dad said, "Each day has 24 hours. There's no reason why your 24 hours are worth less than someone else's 24 hours, unless you don't use them." It was his attempt to get me out of bed in the morning. Didn't work, but I remember his words, and they, along with my marketing guru, inspired me to use my 24 hours each day.
