First Time Home Buyer Seminar

By
Home Inspector with Bell Inspection Service

Hello,

Do any of you offer home buyer seminars?

What has your attendance been like?

Do you think it would help to attract more prospects if you could give them $500 in free groceries or gas?

I am looking to partner with agents that offer these seminars for home buyers in the Central Florida area.

Please call me at your convince to discuss this opportunity.

Thank you,

Greg, I have done one, and am planning another one. I do not offer anything to them other than my sparkling company! What I did was to assemble a group of experts together, myself, an attorney and a mortgage banker. We had a blast. Minimal attendance, however one couple did purchase and used all of us. The only thing we gave out were handouts from the bank, pens, etc, my handout, which was a booklet, and coffee and donuts!

Good luck.

Greg:

I have tried to use the buyers seminar approach and I have invested heavily in the exposure from media ads to door hangers to telephone campaigns. The time the money and the results just were not great, last time I sent out 1500 invitations and I received only three people that were interested. Not enough. So my success has not been anything to write home to mom about. I found that if I plan a good Open House my results are better and the cost a lot less. So, I would check and see if there are agents in your area that have had stellar results and see if you can duplicate or they might share with you the way they go about it.

Hi Greg - I haven't done them but if I did, could not afford to offer $500 x 10 prospects = $5000.  I don't think I've ever met anyone who would make such a huge investment....and I don't think it's necessary.  Andrea said it well!  Good luck with your efforts.
