Meet your fellow rainers - ActiveRain's birthday bashes

Many of you have already seen the posts flying around or may have noticed the links from the front page. Next month in June, the ActiveRain Real Estate Network is having it's one year birthday. To help celebrate Lydia has been working diligently with a number of members to coordinate five seperate ActiveRain get togethers. One in each corner of the country (WA, FL, NY, CA) and one more or less in the middle (Chicago), each happening on a Saturday during the month.

Yes, there will be cake, but the main purpose of this gatherings is to allow members who may have only interacted online or by phone to meet in person. It provides a great way to network, interact with other real estate professionals, talk to us, or just generally have fun. ActiveRain staff including myself, Caleb, Lydia, Jon will try to be in attendance, so if you have feedback for us, what better way than to provide it in person :)

Four of the five are now linked to from the front page and the other one should be linked tomorrow.

Seattle - 6/2
Los Angeles - 6/9
Chicago - 6/16
Orlando - 6/23
New York - 6/30

This are rather informal affairs for instance the June 2nd, Seattle gathering a BBQ/Picnic at Magnolia Park in Seattle. You don't have to be a member to attend, but we ask that people let us know if they think they will attend (from the individual gathering pages) as it will give us a rough head count.

This is a great idea. Thanks for doing this. Once again. AR is awesome. I love what you all do.

I want to come to the one Chicago.....keep me/us posted.

Sure wish Houston would do something! Anyone in Houston up for it?

Stephanie: I know there are others organizing smaller get togethers across the country, not necissarily to celebrate AR's birthday (that's just an excuse). But check out the ActiveRain Gatherings Group if you want to find or organize one.

Would love to see one in SF. May pop down to LA for that one if not...just have to see how it goes.... Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Woooo hoooo! Got my tequila ready! Oh wait, I don't drink. I guess I'll just have to rely on the wacky sense of humor my AR buds have. Can't wait!

Maggie, I don't drink either so you can hang with me and we'll get actions shots of the wild crew. Headed up by TLW of course. :) She not only imbides but is currently in training:)

I think that it's cool that you guys are doing this. I won't be able to attend any of them, it's either cool or a shame, but my summer is already pretty much booked. I hope that you guyshave a great time!

Aside from that if I am going to 'spank people with honesty' I'll need more than one bottle of Bordeaux in my system :)
