Special offer

Free brush chipping for fire-prone areas

By

I return comment for comment.A free chipping program is being offered by the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County and the Resource Conservation District for residents in 25 wildfire-prone comunities.

Crews will actually bring a chipper to the residence. Brush should be cut and piled up to six feet high and should be free of any mud, rocks, or other non-chippable debris such as plastic. If you're not going to be home, make sure that the pile is near a road or other location where the crews can get to it with the chipper.

Communities eligible for participation are:

  1. Banner
  2. Barona Mesa
  3. Black Canyon
  4. Boulder Creek
  5. Boulevard
  6. Campa
  7. Deerhorn Valley

Hey, Jim. That is a great service to the community. FYI, in your first sentence you have shipping and I think you meant chipping. Thanks for getting the word out, Jim

Thanks, Jim.

I remember correcting that, but I probably switched from WYSIWYG to HTML after correcting it, thereby losing the correction. Ah, well. It's good to have some good proofreaders like you on my team.
