The Western Publications Association (WPA) awarded lore Magazine two first place awards at the 2007 56th Maggie Awards, one of the most prestigious magazine publishing awards in the western United States. Lore, a Denver-based national magazine that focuses on the lives of real estate people, won Maggies in Best Overall Publication/Trade and Best Real Estate and Housing Publication/Trade.
The Maggies, known as "the Oscars of the magazine industry," received more than 2,000 entries representing 400 magazines, according to the WPA. For the past 56 years, Maggie Awards have recognized the hard work, dedication and creative talents of the best professionals working in the publishing industry today.
