I never expected this in Idaho but I saw it with my own eyes and all I can say is WOW!  I recently purchased a new home and purchased 90% all new furniture.  It is the most amazing home I have ever owned and I wanted it to look really special.

A friend of mine from a local title company told me to go check out a place call "Graples".  I asked her if what they sold there we eat, wear or ???  She said "No Silly", Graples Home Decor has some of the most amazing home décor items at the most affordable prices she has ever seen which Home Stagers and Home Decorators are in love with!

  • Graples is open only one day a week, Thursday
  • Is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Has quality items that you don't see anywhere else
  • Has hundreds of  customers in and out all day long
  • Has the most amazing and affordable prices
  • Has new and exciting products every week

I have now been to Graples 4 times and purchased 12 items and still have not spent $200! Every hour on the hour the store is open is like the day after Thanksgiving at Macy's and I am not exaggerating!  Every hour on the hour there is a traffic director in the parking lot directing traffic and most of the time it is hard to get in and out of the parking lot! It is always like an "Auction Atmosphere".

There is constantly 6-7 employees on call that are some of the friendliest and most helpful employees I have ever seen.  There is ALWAYS a line of people waiting outside to get in and the line is always at least 20-30 feet long. A few minutes before the opening bell a gentleman always stands on a chair and reminds all customers to be courteous and not take anything out of anyone's basket!  The items are so incredible that customers have been seen taking things out of another's basket!!!

You must realize that our economy here in S.W. Idaho has taken a big hit. The largest employer, Micron Technologies has laid off over 5,000 employees since last fall and the unemployment rate has sky rocketed.  I have never seen so many homes in short sale or foreclosure status in my entire life.  Over 4.000 Realtors have left the market since the peak year of 2005.

In spite of all this Graples is a marketing genius that continues to amaze everyone.  It was the busiest store when the local economy was on fire and continues to amaze everyone now that most businesses are struggling to remain open. All my friends and I are saying to each other "Why didn't we think of this"?!

You have to see Graples to believe it!

George, this is a store I would need a U Hall to bring items home in.

Where do they get their supplies to sell so inexpensively?

Hi George...Enjoy your new home, sounds like you could have done two posts... one your new home and the Other on the Graples Business...Mybe offer to be their business agent and sell the Concept around the world :O))

I often wonder why some stores are Open every day or month..what's with Christmas Stores Open in The Summer or the Dairy Queen in the Winter. I know they do sell to their loyal customers all year, When I was a wee boy, the Dairy Queen only opened in the Summer.

Cheers, thanks for sharing the Good news on your New home and of Course the Graples store and their successful Marketing idea

Wow!  I wish we had one of those here!  But somehow I'm thinking that it wouldn't save me anything to fly out there, shop till I drop and then drive a UHaul back.  LOL  Even though that might be a lot of fun!  God bless, my friend!

George, would you ask them to open a store in Portland please?  It sounds like a wonderful place to buy things for my home as well as to add to my staging inventory!  I know a lot of stagers here who would go crazy for good prices like they have.

Hi George - what a cool idea, and I would love to check out that store. I checked out their website, looked at all the pages.  They sound like they have a blast running that store.  Got my thinking cap on - this sounds like fun and a great way to make a living!
