Inspirational Power Quote

The Power is in Teaching the Person How to Think

"Teach the young people

now to think,

not what to think."

                      Sidney Sugarman

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The power is in teaching the person how to think.

Telling the person what to think prevents the persons mind from becoming creative and will hinder their self-confidences. Most dramatically it prevents the person from fully developing their thinking and decisions making.

Teaching a person to think creates personal power and self-confidences. They believe that they can think though any situation and make good decisions. They will challenge themselves to think out of the box and to make the tough decisions.

The person, who believes in their thinking, believes in themselves and that confidence shows.

Thinking is not easy - I think journaling helps. Sometimes we are not aware of what we are thinking until we write it down or speak it outloud. Yesterday a friend poured out her heart relating her very sad personal situation. I had heard of it from another friend. What I have experienced and observed is that in the telling, there is greater understanding, emotional release and detachment that helps us get to the important place of detachment - a different perspective as perhaps Einstein my say, that allows us a new mind to tackle a problem

Hi Janice

Our thinking is critical, but there are times that we have to listen.

Have a great day.
