Well we are 3 race's into the new season and we have some very unexpected people up front in the points... So who will do good and who will fall behind?

Coming in at 5th in the points is David Reutimann... With 3 races down his average finish is 10th He seems to be off to a great start for the 09 season...But will it last? His average finish at Atlanta is 29.3 not one of his better tracks..

Coming in at 10th in the points is Bobby Labonte... With 3 races down his average finish is 15.7. And Atlanta is one of Bobby'sbest tracks with a career of 6 wins 12 top 5's and a career average of 16.6 this is a track he has a great chance at getting to victory lane.....It is looking like his new team got it together..

And last we have Michael Waltrip at 12thin the points...With an average finish of 16.3 for the first 3 races. This is going to be a make or break race to keep him in the top 12 with only 1 top 5 in 43 races in Nationwide and Sprint cup cars at Atlanta Motor Speedway. he is really going to have to work at this track...

So NASCAR Nation what is your thoughts on these 3 drivers?Do you think it will be a good race for them or do they go back to the middle and bottom of the Standings where they were last year? Well Sunday we shall see....peace zane

Thanks for stopping by JL .... That's ok if you never seen a race ...if you do watch your first one tomorrows race or next week would be a good 1st race lots of action in these races...the three guys I mentioned above are like a Realtor that maybe sells 4 homes a year have already sold 3 this year.. that's the best way to explain it to you ....their year is off to a great start ....peace zane

I got a laugh out of Debi's comment as well. Unfortunately, I didn't see this post until after today's race. So, I can't comment on what kind of day I thought they would have since I already know (Reutimann ended up 32nd, after spinning twice and not having any luck with his car, LaBonte ended up 40th and Mikey was his usual "mheh" self at 25). Out of all three of these guys, I think Bobby may have a better year than the rest. That's just my opinion. Although, Reutimann has been pretty solid for the most part.

David Reutimann- is not even on my radar. I have no opinion.

Bobby Labonte- Just can't make it 10 races without a DNF. I think he will fail again. And I think it's because the dude just can't drive with the kids out there. Mark Martin is an old fart too, but he adapted better to the new cars and new tracks. Bobby needs to get a job with ESPN or something before he hurts some one.

Michael Waltrip- I just love Mikey! And I drive a toyota, so I always want him to finish right behind Clint, Jr. and Jimmie... and Carl ( my step-son's boy).

But I gotta tell you Zane- I'm super happy that my boy Clint is just 43 little tiny points out of first after the first 4. I'm hoping that Jeff G. will blow an engine soon... like on the 2nd lap. (is that wrong of me?)

Tammy ..."Mark Martin is an old fart too" ....that'sjust funny ....as for Clint he was friends with my cousin Kevin's boss and before he went big time used to come into my cousins shop in Emporia....

Kevin said "before he got his ride with Childress he was a pretty nice guy he would come in and BS with everyone ....then he turned into a snob and dumped his hot girlfriend" that's what Kevin said

As for Jeff blowing up is that wrong of you to want that.....I would say no but Heather may disagree...we all want are drivers to good and the others to blow up....hell I want wrecks (as long as no body gets hurt.....peace zane

Hi Kimberly Welcome to AR ....Bobby may make a good commentator... and after the race Mikey dropped to 16th in the points ....and if you give Boris a good car hes not that bad of a driver most of the drivers get training on the road course tracks from him...thanks for stopping by peace zane
