I have family in Lake Havasu City, AZ.  Every time we drive out for a visit, we pass this sign just outside of Parker, AZ and it makes me laugh.  Apparently, Montana isn't the only state that allows an open container of alcohol.  While tacos and beer sound great, this could be dangerous!  Of course, I NEVER drink and drive and think it's stupid for people to do so.  But, I laugh at the sign nonetheless.

Drinking and driving OK in Parker AZ?

Heather, While I personally don't drink and drive or even think that it is a good idea to do so, the sign itself is pretty funny. Thanks for sharing it with us ... we need to find little things to laugh at once in a while. Even the ones that we might consider nutty.

I think the beer would make just about any tacos taste good, don't you, Clff? :)

Suesan - I like to share things I find funny.  My sense of humor isn't always other people's cup of tea.  But, I enjoy it. :)

Heather --- love the sign --- it is really funny --- don't think I have seen anything like that.

Thanks for sharing.

I suspect the beer doesn't come in open containers. We have drive through liquor stores here, usually near college campuses, but one still can't drink and drive.

When I left Texas back in 1993, they still allowed loaded shotguns and rifles on the rear window rack and everyone except the driver could have an open container. So you'd often see the front seat passenger with two beers and the drive with none. Not sure whether or not they closed that loophole.

When I was in college going to Texas A&M football games all over the place, MADD, SADD, and DADD were just being founded. We used to drive to football games and it wasn't how long it took, it was how many six packs of beer it took. Times have certainly changed.

Heather,

I am glad that I am not the only one who chuckles at signs.  Guess they even have drive through churches, too.

Check this link.  My favorite place to have glass of wine is my front porch while we watch the grass grow.  That is my husband's saying that means not much happening here, but it's a great to enjoy life.

Russel--I have been to Texas many times, but fortunately have not run into open containers & shotguns.  At least not yet.  My brother lives in panhandle north of Lubbock and aunt lives in San Antonio.

Thanks for stopping by, Caron.

Like I said, Liz.  This sign makes me chuckle every time I drive by it.  It was years before I thought, I should take a picture and share it.  It's too funny.

Russel - Texas has always walked to the beat of a different drummer.  That's what makes 'em Texas!

Mary - They have drive-thru everything.  For the lazy people who just "have to have it now", there's even a drive-through wedding chapel in Vegas.  Are you really surprised, though?  I'm not.  I'll check out the link.  Thanks.

Hi Heather, Ouch, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near there either.  Beer in a drive thru - sounds like a recipe for disaster to me!  GET OFF THE ROAD!

That's what I found so funny, Toula.

Zane - I know, right?  Drinking, driving and eating a taco.  And I thought it was tough to drive, do your makeup, eat breakfast and text message all at the same time.  Whew!

Definitely a recipe fro disaster, Sandy.  But, a great photo op of a sign, don't you agree?

Heather - When I visited Texas a few years back, I was amazed to see that drinking while driving was legal - and carrying a rifle in the car was OK too.  Amazing how different areas have different laws....

Well, it IS Texas (LOL).  I think it's funny that you can drink and drive with a rifle in the car, but God forbid you talk on your cell phone.  That's just intolerable!
