Introducing... Jack

Some of you know about the sudden death of my bulldog Meatball .. his story .

I want to first say thank you everyone that shared their words of comfort and sent me emails to make sure I was ok.

And as promised I am writing to introduce our new baby Jack (registered Jack of Hearts ).

He joined our family Jan 7th and has definitely put a smile on my face. He's a quick learner and even faster when food is a reward! Take a look at his baby pictures and be sure to watch for more Jack blogs..he is sure to be a part of my journey here on ActiveRain.

Arrival day, 8 wks old jack connors 8 lbs, 1 oz

brutus and jack 11 weeks, Brutus isnt too excited yet !

12 weeks

Loves pansies ! He is now 4.5 months old, 35 pounds and full of energy! His life still evolves around food, napping and playtime. He and Brutus are doing much better- but Jack is still teething . The house is full of toys for chewing, and playing...but his favorite toy is ..

an empty milkjug !

There is nothing like a new puppy to give you a new "leash on life". Enjoy the ride.

Michelle, congrats on the new addition to your family! He is adorable. My favorite picture is his 1st bath in the sink!

Cynthia--- thanks ! Wasnt today so beautiful! We grilled on the porch and have been out all day playing and learning to chase a ball--and return it!

Ginger--isnt he cute!

Brutus is getting better- now that Jack is big enough to stand up to...

Brutus doesnt do well sharing his bones but Jack is getting the message. Jack enjoys noisy things like a milkjug and anything he can teethe on. His little tongue doesnt stay in his mouth anymore now his underbite is developing.

Was the azalea festival this weekend ??

Hi Lara--- he was a mess! He flew in from Georgia and had a few accidents in his crate... I look at him and an amazed how he grew from 8 lbs to 38 in 2 months! ( although I do know he never stops eating! )

I am glad your bulldog has arrived for you, maybe it will give you new lease on life. They are so funny and have so much personality. My Bruno is always at my feet snoring too. And boy do they ever get loud...just like a little old man.lol.

Your new furry human, Jack, is so precious and adorable. His photos are delightful. Thank you for sharing and please keep his photos coming so we can see what Jack and you have been up to. Dogs are such terrific pals, I have a beagle, called, Buddy. I will be writing about him tomorrow since it will be a special day for him.

Rita... I cant believe how fast he is growing..teeth falling out and hes now getting his manhood so a bit funny trying to be dominant! Brutus is getting better and actually Jack is getting calmer around him---actually fell asleep curled up together last night ..a first for them !

What a great face... I had dogs throughout my life, I now have 2 rescue dogs.

A new dog brings new and different energy with lots and lots of love.

Jack Bulldog Michele Connors 5-25-09 Jack

Hi Enat and Maria... well, he no longer fits in the kitchen sink! This was taken today. Jack is amlost 7 months, weighs over 55 lbs ( last time we checked) and enjoying a cool bath and dip in his pool !

Thanks Marney...Jack is a great guy, stubborn but just what we needed around the house! Look up a comment- I posted a current photo of him this week- he no longer fits in the sink!

Hi Michelle, I love Jack! He is so adorable. I have a dalamation bull dog mix, she has the same body frame as Jack. It's so cute to see how much she looks like a bull dog, except that she is white with black spots.

Oh my goodness what a cutie pie!! Aren't dogs grand ? I have two great danes, the joy these dogs have brought my family is priceless.
