A Happy Ending for Princess

I came home the other afternoon to find a cute little beagle tied up at my house. I went inside and asked the wife was the deal was about the dog. She explained that the dog ran up to her when she got home from her office. The dog had on a collar and a lead. We both figured that she had gotten loose from one of our neighbors. The wife got on the phone and the email, looking for someone who knew who the dog belonged to. I took the dog for a walk around the neighborhood, hoping she would find her way home. She didn't, she was very scared, so I took her back to my house. We put her in our fenced backyard. She barked and cried, we let her in the house. She immediately jumped into my wife's lap and wanted to be held, then she jumped into my lap. Then the phone rang, the owner was found and Princess went home to her little owner. A sweet little girl, who called to thank us for taking care of her Princess.
