LOL! I hadn't heard that one. Great poem. Now let's see ... should I run off a copy for my wife or not?

I think a good complementary poem would be one I memorized long ago, by Ogden Nash:

ADVICE TO HUSBANDS:

To keep your marriage brimming,

WIth love in the loving cup,

Whenever you're wrong admit it;

Okay...stop it you two!  Can't we all just get along?

My wife can't cook.   My mother can.   My wife doesn't clean house.  My mother does.  I didn't marry my wife because she could cook or clean, I married because she was about the furthest thing from my mother.   She is witty, smart, and OMG can she play the piano.  Oh....btw my wife has never slapped the crap out of me and of course my mom has.    But I love them both.  Guys that compare their mothers to their wives are fools in my book.   My mother gave birth to me.  My wife gave me life!!  I thank God and the Universe for each!
